How the Borrower-Paid Flow Works
You send the prospect your Xactus link (text/email/social bio).
They enter their info and authorize the pull — this is the permissible purpose + consumer consent, cleanly documented by Xactus.
They pay Xactus directly via the "Total Cost for Borrower" invoice — the fee never touches your P&L.
The report posts to your Xactus360 dashboard; hard-pull tri-merge can flow into ARIVE/your 1003 to start the file.
You follow up with a prequal or next steps — no upfront cost to you, no dead leads eating credit fees.
Why it matters: zero out-of-pocket credit costs on tire-kickers, and the borrower's payment is a small commitment signal that filters for serious prospects.
