How to work the room: Go to give, not pitch — be the financing brain (DSCR, bank-statement, complex deals), answer questions, run quick numbers. That's how a new MLO becomes the room's go-to lender. Start with the free Zoom rooms (STLREIA Fridays) and the closest free in-person (LAC-REIA 2nd Thursday) so you're a regular face, not a one-timer. When you bring cards/handouts, they need your standard disclosures — ask me and I'll build a compliant card.
